An ice cream cone, also called a poke, is a brittle, cone-shaped pastry usually made of a wafer similar in texture to a waffle, made so that ice cream can be carried and eaten without a bowl or spoon. Cones are made in many styles, including Cornetto cones and sugar-coated or chocolate-coated cones. The term can also refer informally to a cone topped with one or more scoops of ice cream.
