Medivnyk, also called medovyk, is a Ukrainian honey cake considered a fundamental dessert of Lviv regional cuisine. It typically includes spices, nuts, and raisins, with buckwheat honey preferred to give the cake its distinctive taste; in Ukrainian the name can also refer to prianyk or pernik, a hard honey cookie.
