Yellow rice is a traditional yellow-colored rice dish found in Iranian, Middle Eastern, Moroccan, Ecuadorian, Peruvian, Caribbean, Portuguese, Filipino, Afghan, Indian, Sri Lankan, South African and Indonesian cuisines. It is made using white rice turned yellow with annatto, saffron or turmeric.
