Jolbhora Sandesh

Jolbhora Sandesh is a traditional Bengali sweet originating from Chandannagar in the Indian state of West Bengal. Its name derives from two Bengali words, jol, meaning water or liquid, and bhora, meaning filled, referring to the liquid filling at the center of the sweet. A variant of sandesh made from fresh chhena, Jolbhora Sandesh is typically filled with nolen gur, especially during the winter months, and it is shaped like an ice apple.
