Budae jjigae is a spicy jjigae from South Korea made with a variety of often canned or processed ingredients, commonly including ham, sausage, Spam, baked beans, kimchi, instant noodles, gochujang, and American cheese. It is a popular anju and comfort food, traditionally cooked in a large shared pot, and is also known in English as army stew, army base stew, or spicy sausage stew.
