Grape molasses, also known as grape syrup, is a condiment made by boiling grapes, removing their skins, and squeezing the pulp through a sieve to extract a concentrated juice that is thick and sweet from its high ratio of sugar to water. Like other fruit syrups it is commonly used as a topping for sweet cakes such as pancakes or waffles, and it appears under a variety of names in multiple Balkan, Middle Eastern and Caucasian cuisines.
