Mustacciuoli, also spelled mustaccioli or mostaccioli, is a pastry originating in the Naples region of Italy and usually served at Christmas, also found in Apulia, Molise and Abruzzo. It has a soft, spiced, cake like interior made from flour, almonds, sugar, cloves, coffee and olive oil, shaped into a parallelogram and covered in chocolate, though modern versions sometimes use white chocolate frosting or icing sugar with candied fruit instead.
