Bamboo Steamer

Moist-Heat and Combination Cooking Methods

A bamboo steamer, called zhenglong in Chinese, is a type of food steamer made of woven bamboo, commonly used in Chinese cuisine, especially for dim sum, and typically stacked in two or more layers so several foods can steam at once. The device has also spread into the cooking traditions of other East and Southeast Asian countries.
