Breakfast Burrito

Salads, Dips, Sandwiches and Fermented Cold Dishes

The breakfast burrito, sometimes called a breakfast wrap outside the American Southwest, is an American breakfast dish made of breakfast items wrapped inside a flour tortilla. It originated in New Mexican cuisine before spreading through Southwestern and Tex-Mex cooking, with the Southwestern style commonly filled with scrambled eggs, potatoes, beans, cheese, peppers, salsa, onions, chorizo, bacon, or sour cream, and regional versions sometimes adding tomatoes, ham, or other fresh ingredients.
