Paper wrapped cake is a type of Chinese cake and one of the most common pastries served in Hong Kong, also found in most Chinatown bakeries; in essence it is a chiffon cake baked in a paper cup. In San Francisco's Chinatown bakeries, the dessert is commonly sold under the name sponge cake.
