Taguella, also spelled tagella, is a disk shaped flatbread that is the staple food of the Tuareg people of the Sahara, made from wheat flour and cooked buried beneath the hot sand and charcoal of a small fire. Once cooked, the bread is broken into small pieces and eaten with a meat sauce.
