The Bloody Mary is a savory cocktail made from vodka and tomato juice, typically seasoned with ingredients such as Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, black pepper, celery salt and lemon juice, and often garnished elaborately with celery, olives or other savory additions. Its exact origin is disputed, with competing claims placing its creation at Harrys New York Bar in Paris or at the King Cole Bar in New York in the nineteen twenties or nineteen thirties.
