A Burns supper is a celebration of the life and poetry of the Scottish poet Robert Burns, held on or near his birthday, 25 January, a date known as Burns Night, Robert Burns Day, or Rabbie Burns Day. Suppers are sometimes also held at other times of the year, and the tradition is now observed at gatherings around the world.
