Grana Padano is an Italian hard cheese originating in the Po Valley, made from semi-skimmed, unpasteurized cow's milk. It has a distinctly crumbly, granular texture and closely resembles Parmesan, though it is produced under less strict regulations. Grana Padano received denominazione di origine controllata status in 1955 and European Union protected designation of origin status in 1996, and its name is legally protected in numerous countries.

Entity-backed identity for the allergen value this ingredient already carries as an enum fact, resolved to a ingredient entity by an explicit value-to-entity map (phase 3 bucket conversion, docs\design_entity_backed_browse_buckets_20260928.md). The enum fact itself stays on the entity unchanged.
