Tonkatsu sauce, also called katsu sauce, is a thick Japanese Worcestershire-type sauce served with tonkatsu. It resembles English and Irish brown sauce and can include fish sauce, tomatoes, prunes, dates, apples, lemon juice, carrots, onions and celery among its ingredients.
