Pitepalt is a Swedish dish related to kroppkakor, a meat filled potato dumpling, especially associated with the city of Pitea in Norrbotten County, thought to be its place of origin. It is made from raw potatoes combined with wheat and barley flour and salt, commonly filled with pork and sometimes onion, and differs from kroppkaka, which uses pre boiled potatoes and wheat flour and has a lighter color. It is traditionally served with butter and lingonberry jam.
