Connects an ingredient to the allergen it is recorded as carrying, such as milk, eggs, fish, crustaceans, molluscs, peanuts, soybeans, tree nuts, sesame, mustard, celery, lupin or cereals containing gluten. The inverse reading, Allergen Carried By, names the same link from the allergen toward each ingredient recorded under it. The allergen entities are themselves ingredients of the food atlas, so an ingredient that is its own allergen simply carries no link to itself.
