Soparnik is a traditional Croatian dish, usually a savory pie filled with Swiss chard and onion. It is also known by the names soparnjak, zeljanik or uljenjak, and is the most famous specialty of the Dalmatian region of Poljica, between the cities of Split and Omis. It was traditionally eaten in the colder months, when older, sweeter chard was available, and was historically prepared both as a fasting dish and for celebrations.
