Marquesita

A marquesita is a dessert native to the state of Yucatan in Mexico, made of a crepe of flour, egg, milk and butter rolled around a filling such as cajeta, condensed milk, jam, chocolate or edam cheese, also known locally as queso de bola. Credited to creator Leopoldo Mena, marquesitas are sold from carts and stands in squares, parks and streets throughout the region.
