Silog is a class of Filipino breakfast dishes containing sinangag, garlic fried rice, and itlog, a fried egg. They are served with an accompanying savory dish, usually a fried meat such as tapa, longganisa, or ham, and the name of that accompanying dish gives the silog its own portmanteau name, such as tapsilog, longsilog, or hamsilog.
