Bread-Based Dishes

Gathers the dishes whose character comes from bread, rusk or toast served with other ingredients. Fatteh is an Arab dish of fresh, toasted, grilled or fried flatbread covered with other ingredients that vary by region, and dakos is a traditional Cretan dish made from a slice of soaked barley rusk topped with tomatoes and cheeses such as feta or mizithra. A dish belongs here when its own cited article describes bread or rusk as the base of the dish. It excludes sandwiches, which have their own groups.
