Açorda

Soups and Broths

Açorda is a traditional Portuguese dish of cubed or sliced stale bread combined with garlic, cilantro and poached eggs, forming a type of bread soup, though some variants have a consistency closer to porridge. The Alentejo version, açorda à Alentejana, is considered a classic of that region's cuisine.
