Tharid

Tharid, also known as thareed, trid, fareed, tashrib, tashreeb or taghrib, is a bread soup that originates from Mecca in Saudi Arabia and is eaten across Arab cuisine in many other countries. It consists of a simple broth or stew with crumbled flatbread, traditionally stale unleavened bread, moistened in the liquid, and tradition holds that it was a favorite dish of the Prophet Muhammad, giving it standing as a national Arab dish.
