Marraqueta

Breads, Flatbreads and Savory Pastries

A marraqueta is a crusty bread roll made with wheat flour, salt, water and yeast. In Chile the bread dates to the 1800s, and it is considered a national food of Bolivia, where it is the most common bread found in bakeries and is served for breakfast, lunch and dinner; in 2024 marraqueta was listed as the third-best bread in the world by TasteAtlas.
