Pihlaja

Breads, Flatbreads and Savory Pastries

Pihlaja, also called kettukarkki, is a marmalade candy produced by the Finnish food corporation Fazer. Fazer began producing the candy in 1895 at its patisserie on Kluuvikatu in Helsinki, making it the oldest candy Fazer still has on the market, though its recipe has changed over time. The candies are wrapped in yellow-red paper carrying a red illustration of a fox, and Pihlaja is lactose free and mostly gluten free.
