Cempedak seed is the edible seed of Artocarpus integer, a tree in the family Moraceae related to breadfruit and jackfruit and native to Southeast Asia. The seeds can be fried, boiled or grilled, then peeled and eaten with salt, a preparation distinct from the tree's more widely eaten fruit flesh.
