Cherimoya

Cherimoya is the fruit of Annona cherimola, a tree native to the Andean highlands of Ecuador, Peru, Colombia and Bolivia, and a close relative of soursop and sugar apple within the genus Annona. The fruit has a green, scaly or bumpy skin and soft, creamy white flesh studded with large black inedible seeds, with a flavor often described as a blend of banana, pineapple and strawberry. The fruit is sometimes marketed as custard apple, a name also used for the related species Annona reticulata.
