Cupuacu butter is a fat extracted from the seeds of Theobroma grandiflorum, cupuacu, a tropical rainforest tree related to cacao and native to the Amazon basin. The butter has a low melting point of approximately thirty degrees Celsius and a soft solid texture, which lends it to use as a confectionery ingredient resembling white chocolate.
