Sapodilla, also known as sapote, chicozapote, naseberry or nispero among other names, is the fruit of Manilkara zapota, an evergreen tree native to southern Mexico and Central America. It is grown in large quantities in Mexico and across tropical Asia, including India, Pakistan, Thailand, Malaysia, the Maldives, Cambodia, Indonesia, Vietnam and Bangladesh, as well as in the Caribbean.
