Pasta with strawberries, known in Polish as makaron z truskawkami, is a dish of Polish cuisine made by crushing, blending, or chopping fresh strawberries and combining them with cream, then pouring the mixture over cooked pasta. Sugar or honey may sweeten the sauce, and cooks sometimes use creme fraiche, sour cream, yogurt, or heavy cream in place of plain cream, or add twarog, a white cheese, to a version of the dish. It is eaten as a lunch course or as a dessert, most often during the Polish strawberry season from May through July, and is sometimes garnished with mint leaves or extra strawberry slices. The dish has no firmly documented origin, though strawberries appear widely in Polish cooking, added to rice, soups, and pierogi filling, and it gained wider international attention when tennis player Iga Swiatek named it a favorite meal during Wimbledon 2025.
