Nasi dagang is a Malaysian dish of rice steamed in coconut milk, served with a fish curry and extras such as pickled cucumber and carrots. Associated with the Terengganu Malay people, it is eaten mainly as a breakfast food along Malaysia's east coast, in the states of Terengganu, Kelantan, and parts of Pahang and Johor, as well as in neighboring southern Thailand and Indonesia's Riau Islands. The curry that accompanies the rice can be made with fish, chicken or prawn, and the dish is eaten hot or at room temperature.
