Baozi

Breads, Flatbreads and Savory Pastries

Baozi, or simply bao, is a type of yeast-leavened filled bun found in various Chinese cuisines, made in many variations of filling, whether meat or vegetarian, though most often from wheat flour and steamed. It is a variation of mantou from Northern China and is popular throughout China, having spread to the cuisines of many other countries through the Chinese diaspora.
