The croffle, also spelled croiffle or crofle, is a hybrid of a croissant and a waffle. It was popularized in South Korea before spreading throughout the world. The concept is reminiscent of another hybrid pastry, the Cronut, a croissant and donut hybrid created by Dominique Ansel.
