Rumbledethumps

Rumbledethumps is a traditional dish of the Scottish Borders made mainly from potato, cabbage and onion. It is comparable to Irish colcannon and English bubble and squeak, and can be served either as an accompaniment to a main dish or as a dish on its own, often made from the leftovers of a roast meal. An Aberdeenshire version of the same dish is known as kailkenny.
