Broth, also known as bouillon, is a savory liquid made of water in which meat, fish or vegetables have been simmered, eaten alone or, more commonly, used to prepare other dishes such as soups, gravies and sauces; commercially prepared broths and dehydrated bouillon cubes are also widely sold. This entity is used when a dish's own infobox names broth or stock as a main ingredient, distinct from a specific named meat, fish or vegetable already carried as its own entity in this atlas.
