Zagorski štrukli

Breads, Flatbreads and Savory Pastries

Zagorski strukli, also called struklji, is a traditional Croatian dish eaten in households across the Hrvatsko Zagorje region and Zagreb in northern Croatia, made of dough with a filling that can be either boiled or baked. The baked version is typically filled with cottage cheese, eggs, sour cream, salt and clotted cream, while the boiled version adds onion and parsley to the filling. The dish is closely related to struklji, a comparable dish from neighboring Slovenia.
