Xarém

Xarem, also spelled xerem, is a thick soup or porridge from the Algarve region of Portugal that is also eaten in Cape Verde and Brazil. It has a corn flour base combined with other ingredients that vary by region, typically corn meal along with clams or sardines and grilled meats.
