Oysters Rockefeller

Roasted, Grilled and Fried Dishes

Oysters Rockefeller is a dish of oysters served on the half shell and topped with a rich sauce of butter, parsley and other green herbs along with bread crumbs, then baked or broiled. The dish is traditionally garnished with lemon wedges. Many modern versions use diced oysters rather than whole ones, and diced bacon is sometimes added on top of or in place of the classic herb sauce.
