Pancake

A pancake is a flat, round batter bread cooked on a hot griddle or frying pan, made from a starch-based batter that typically includes flour, eggs, milk and butter. It is also known regionally as a hotcake, griddlecake or flapjack, and archaeological evidence suggests batter cakes cooked this way have been part of human diets since prehistoric times.
