Quindim is a popular Brazilian baked dessert of Portuguese heritage, made chiefly from sugar, egg yolks and ground coconut. It is a custard, usually presented as an individual upturned cup with a glistening surface and an intensely yellow color. When the same mixture is baked in a large ring mold rather than individual cups, it is called a quindao and served in slices.
