Sunday roast

Roasted, Grilled and Fried Dishes

Sunday roast, also called roast dinner or Sunday lunch, is a traditional British main course eaten on Sundays. It centers on roasted meat served with roast or mashed potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, gravy and stuffing, often with vegetables such as broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, parsnips or peas boiled, steamed or roasted, and condiments including apple sauce, mint sauce, redcurrant sauce, mustard, cranberry sauce or horseradish sauce. It is often described as a less grand version of a traditional Christmas dinner, and the tradition has spread through the English speaking world, including Australia, Ireland, Canada, South Africa and New Zealand.
